All personal information is gathered at the time of accepting an Employment offer from Bunzl. This personal information is used to draw up an Employment Contract. The signing of this Employment Contract by an individual is consent for the information to be used by Bunzl to set up an Employee profile on the Bunzl Payroll system. Signing of the Employment Contract is also a means of consent for the personal information to be supplied to the nominated Superannuation Fund and the Australian Taxation Office.
At the time of accepting an Employment Contract, Bunzl requires an Emergency Contact Details Form to be completed. This information is to be used where there is a serious threat to the Employee’s health and safety and disclosing this information will assist in reducing that threat.
Bunzl will not sell, trade or rent Employee’s personal information to others. No personal information will be disclosed to any third party without the consent of the Employee unless it is required by law that we do so.
All personal information collected can be accessed or changed by an Employee at any time.
All personal information collected by Bunzl will be stored in a secure area with controlled access. Records containing personal information that are no longer required for business purposes or by law, will be destroyed by a secure means ie. shredding, pulping or disintegration of information.
This policy will be published on the Intranet and accessible to all staff at any time. If Bunzl modifies this policy, changes will be posted to the Intranet so the Employee is aware of what information we collect and how the information is used.
