Privacy Statement

The personal information you provide will be stored and managed in accordance with the Privacy and Personal Information Protection Act 1998 (NSW), the University's Privacy Management Plan, the University’s Access to Personal Files policy, and other policies on Privacy.

Access to the information you provide is available to yourself and those persons authorised to access the information in the course of their duties at the University.

Charles Sturt University uses the PageUp recruitment system to manage job applications and candidate information. This means certain personal information applicants provide when applying for a job with Charles Sturt University will be hosted on PageUp’s systems. See the PageUp FAQs for further information provided to job seekers.

Personal and Banking Information

This information is required for recruitment and onboarding processing and may be used in quality assurance activities of the University.

If you are offered a position with Charles Sturt University, the information you provide to Charles Sturt University is necessary for the University to maintain an accurate record of your personal information for wage and salary payments.

Diversity Information

At Charles Sturt University, we ask for your cooperation in providing information relating to equity and diversity. 

This information will assist the University to measure the effectiveness of its equity and diversity strategies and contribute to aggregated statistical data required by government agencies.

Your information will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and will not be released to the Selection Committee during the selection process (except in circumstances where the position is identified or targeted for an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander person and only with your verbal permission).  For the purposes of quality assurance and government reporting your information will be de-identified and used in an aggregated format.  Your information will not be used for any other purpose without your written permission.  

Your information will be stored electronically with access restricted to authorised People and Culture and data analytics staff.  You may at any time change or delete your equity and diversity information by contacting dpc@csu.edu.au.

I declare the information contained in this application and attachments is true and correct at the time of submission and I acknowledge that I have read and understood the Privacy Statement.  I understand the provision of false or misleading information may result in rejection of this application or termination of my employment at the University.

I understand that if my application is not successful that it will be held for a minimum of two years in accordance with the State Records Act 1998 and after this time it will be destroyed.
