While the Treasury provides a secure environment, you should be aware that there are inherent risks associated with the transmission of information via the Internet. Once submitted, your personal information will be stored on a separate server in Australia owned and managed by our recruitment application service provider, PageUp People Pty Ltd. The Treasury will otherwise handle your personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act and the Australian Privacy Principles and the Treasury has taken contractual measures to ensure that its contractors abide by the same obligations. Your personal information will only be stored by the Treasury in Canberra, or on the Xref server in Sydney, but may be sent overseas to enable Xref, its subcontractors and CV Check to assist the Treasury.
Once your personal information is submitted, relevant Treasury staff will access and use the information you have provided to:
• Assess and administer your application, including contacting your referees and verifying educational qualifications and checking your criminal history;
• Communicate with you in relation to your application;
• Comply with any legal or regulatory obligations;
• Use de-identified and aggregated data for reporting purposes; and
• Monitor and review our recruitment practices.
You can access your information via your allocated User ID and Password, and can change your personal information at any time during the recruitment process. However, you will not be able to change the Statement against the Selection Criteria or your Resume after the closing date for applications.
