Asciano Limited and its subsidiaries including the Patrick and Pacific National business (the Asciano Group) believe that privacy is an important individual right and are committed to ensuring the privacy of personal information. During the recruitment process we will collect personal information about your candidates which may include items such as candidate contact details, information about their working history, referee details, results of psychometric tests, and pre employment background checks such as police checks, license and qualification checks.

Personal information provided in an application is collected by Asciano for the purposes of considering candidates as an applicant for current or future employment. The information may be disclosed to employees and recruiters involved in the hiring process. Relevant information may also be disclosed to recruitment agencies and other third parties who are engaged to provide recruitment services on our behalf. We will not disclose information which could be regarded as sensitive without a candidates consent.

Candidate details will be stored on our database and any candidates closely matching the requirements of positions as they become available may be contacted for interview. Asciano gives no guarantee of the continued availability of any particular position advertised and will not be responsible should a position be filled at any time prior to the removal of an advertisement. Asciano takes no responsibility for any incorrect or out of date information submitted by an applicant. Asciano implements a number of physical and electronic security measures to protect your candidate's personal information but the risk of third party exploitation of security measures by unauthorised means cannot be guaranteed. 

Please note that all offers of employment are conditional upon satisfactory reference and background checks being obtained, including the production of all documents necessary for Asciano to verify your candidates identity, qualifications and ability to work in Australia. By agreeing to this policy you consent, on your candidates behalf, to the authorised representatives of Asciano contacting any person(s) or institutions relevant to this application to undertake these verifications and checks.

By agreeing to this statement you certify that the information provided in this application is true and complete to the best of your knowledge, information and belief. You understand withholding pertinent information or submitting false or misleading information on this application, or at any other time during the hiring process, may result in your candidates disqualification from further consideration for employment .
