Your privacy is important to us. We deal with your Personal Information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

We will collect and use your Personal Information to process and consider your employment application. If your application is unsuccessful, we will retain your Personal Information in our database and may use this information to assess your suitability for future employment opportunities with us. To this end, we may contact you and invite you to apply for future positions. Of course, you may contact us at any time at national.recruitment@abc.net.au if you no longer wish for the ABC to contact you about future job opportunities. 

We will collect your Personal Information directly from you (either from your application and/or during any conversations or interviews) and from your nominated referees.

If you choose not to provide all the information requested during the application process we may be unable to process your application or properly consider you for employment opportunities.

Personal Information may be disclosed to ABC staff involved in, or who are undertaking a supporting role in, the assessment of your application; as well as your nominated referees, recruitment agencies and other third parties engaged to assist with the recruitment process.

Information, where required, will be verified (by third parties) for the purposes of academic qualifications, eligibility to lawfully work in Australia and other requirements relevant to the job vacancy.

To assist us in maintaining accurate and up to date Personal Information we hold about you, please ensure that you notify us of any changes to your Personal Information as soon as possible by logging into your ABC Careers account.
